The museum exhibits works by the artist Yan' Dargent, born and buried in Saint-Servais (1824-1899). Yan' Dargent painted the landscapes of his native Léon and the Crozon peninsula. He depicted the legends of his childhood, notably ‘Les Lavandières de la nuit’, his most famous painting. He decorated many churches. He was also a prolific illustrator.
In 2025, the Yan' Dargent museum celebrates the Breton imagination in the work of Yan' Dargent: landscapes, legends and saints of Brittany. A fine selection of works is on display, including several paintings on loan for the occasion. The exhibition is introduced by a text specially written by the writer Philippe Le Guillou.
